Hola, mi amgos y amigas de Estados Unitos.  Here I am Tuesday morning to write and provide pictures of our trip so far.

Last night, we had Mass then Ultreya in town and....wow, it was amazing.  We Notreamericanos went up and introduced ourselves and sang a song ("I'm trading my sorrows").  Afterwards, unexpectedly, the lights went out and Padre walked in with a Monstrance for an evening of adoration. The most moving part of Adoration was when Father picked up the Monstrance and walked around to each individual person in the room and we were able to kiss the monstrance and put our head against it to make a small, silent prayer.  It was such a magical moment.  What I just described does not even do it justice.  The tears were flowing all around.

This morning, Jay, Jim, Scott, and Terese are in the garden finishing up their work.  Madre Maria is at the compound finshing sorting school supplies and medicines which we are taking around tomorrow morning (to Kindergartens and clinics respectivly).

This afternoon is up in the air as the garden will be finished.  I believe some will be coming to blog while others will be working in the compound garden.

Hola amigos y amigas! This is Scott writing again. We continue to have a very blessed trip, gracias a Dios. A couple of thoughts...

1. Plese excuse the punctuation, as we're working on laptops at Project Eden's Adelante tutoring program, which are set up for the Spanish language, and the keyboard is NOT what you see is what you get. I have learned that the apostrophe is actually available on the hyphen key but other then that I{m a bit lost!

2. The biggest traffic jams are the herds of cattle.

3. Hondurans have a great sense of humor!

4. Taking a Coke break at 10am is very important, and the entire team enjoys the cold refreshment on these hot days.

Mass at the church in San Francisco de la Paz yesterday was an example of how communication happens even when you dont understand the words. What a great heartfelt experience, and a true sharing of Christ's love.

Tonight we will be attending the weekly Cursillo Ultreya, with Mass at 600 and Ultreya at 700. Should be another wonderful connection with the local Cursillistas.

We will be delivering schools supplies to five kindergartens nd elementary schools, and medical supplies to four local health clinics on Wednesday.

Just started a new community garden at Tierra Blanca. The community support was excellent. We ought to be finished by Wednesday.

Should be an exciting evening. We have an Ultreya meeting in San Francisco de la Paz. Their
meetings tend to be high energy....and, very inspiring.

In two days, we head to Catacamas ( about an hour away from San Francisco ). We're visiting
an orphanage that handles handicapped children. I'ts usually an emotional and inspiring day....hasta

Hola, Amigos y Amigas.

Its now Monday of a wonderful trip so far.  Over the weekend, we went to Juticalpa, a city about a half an hour away to have lunch at a pupusaria (spelling may be wrong...  Pupusas are a thin like quesidia kind of food with cheese or cheese and sausage. Muy Delicioso.  We then went shopping for school supplies for 5 kindergartens.  We are delivering them to kindergartens on Wednessday morning along with tons and tons of medicines for clinics in the area.

This morning, some of us went to the garden to work with the community while my mother and I went shopping with Mario in town - purchased a machete in a beautiful leather case and then went shopping for sandals - of which we purchased about 200 of. 

This evening we are going to Ultrya here in San Fransisco at the local Inglesia {church}.  Should be a wonderful evening of prayer and talks of which I won´t understand ...but ill understand the holy spirit.

Tomorrow we finish the current garden in Tierra Blanca.  In the afternoon, Mario y Miguel {me} will be making a video tour of Hogar Del Nino which is the compound in which we stay {I wont be posting the video until after we leave honduras as the bandwidth here is slow}.  Tomorrow morning, I will be video taping our morning prayer circle which we have every morning.

This has been an incredible journey this week.  The Hondurans are very humble and joyful people always opening their hearts and homes to us.  How blessed we are!!  Today we worked creating a community garden with the families who will be harvesting the abundant produce when it is ready!  Hard work but many hands makes little work.  Mass and Ultreya tonight, can't wait.  Also had my first taste in tutoring English student w/ her homework-I hope she loved it as much as I did.  It's very hot today, 104 in the sun!!!

This is Jim.  This has been sooo incredible so far. The people here are so gracious and loving. The following 2 pictures are the team weeding the gardens in the compound, the next 2 are  the shop wee we bought a gift for a birthday party we attended, the next is a little girl at the Friday market and the other is the same market where we bought flip flops for the children and the last is Therese planting a mahogany tree seed. Adios.
